APPEARANCE
When you think of what an angel looks like the last thing you would ever think of would be this guy. Sariel is without question one of the strangest looking guys you will ever come across. From the way he dresses to the his body he wouldn't strike anyone as angelic in any sense. Its a shame really, he does have the potential to look good, standing at 5'8 tall, with a lean build, shiny black hair, and some handsome facial features he could have been a lady killer. But he doesn't take care of his appearance, mainly because he doesn't know how to or sees any reason to bother. With his bad habit to lean forward and crouching all the time he looks shorter than he actually is. Because he doesn't have the need for sleep he rarely does (he will sleep for 1-2 hours at most when he does) he has massive bags under his eyes, making him look tired all the time. He never fixes his hair, and his clothiing style is...plain at best. He doesn't like shoes and will rarely wear them even if he is walking outside all day.
PERSONALITY
Sariel is an oddball to say the least. While he seems like a really serious individual he can come off as rather naive. He has a human body but he has no understanding about human behaviour, he is easily confused by most human actions, and takes anything anyone tells him seriously because he can't tell when he's being lied to. His curiosity can get him in trouble sometimes or just add onto peoples assumptions that he is weird. While he looks like the kind of guy that you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley he is actually a pretty nice guy. Like all angels Sariel has a strong sense of justice and morality. He can't help but come to the aid of those that need it in anyway possible, even if it means putting himself in danger.
SPECIES
Sariel is one of the few cestial beings known as angels. Like all angels Sariel is a being of light, he has a tendancy to seek out and do good deeds, dual out justice, and help the innocent. Like most of his brothers and sisters the kind of powers he has reflect the kind of angel that he is. The problem is, he can't remember just what he was. He has the knowledge that he is an angel, he knows that he was sent to earth for some purpose, but beyond that he doesn't know. He doesn't remember what kind of powers that he has either.
ABILITIES
- Teleportation: Sariel can transport himself and even others that he chooses to locations he has already been to.
- Telepathy: Sariel can communicate with anyone he has come into physical contact with at some through his mind.
- Smite: A powerful type of holy area of effect skill that can blast an enemy with a large amount of holy power.
- Flight: Sariel can sprout wings whenever he wants to fly.
- Healing: Sariel can heal the wounds of mortal creatures both human and nonhuman from anything to minor scratches to life threatening injuries and illnesses.
- Holy Magic: All the magic that Sariel possesses is holy magic. That is all he is capable of using to his knowledge.
- Summon Lightbringer: Sariel's only weapon, he is able to forge a holy sword from his angelic wings to use in battle. It allows him to channel his magic into the blade to help him in a fight.
Weaknesses/Limitations
- Teleportation: Teleporting requires a fair bit of energy and focus in order to work. The amount of focus it takes makes it impossible for him to teleport in a fight or under other extreme conditions. Each warp is draining. Teleporting with others requires twice as much as normal. Depending on the distance traveled with this skill he could collaspe from the effort.
- Telepathy:While he is able to communicate with his mind he isn't a mind reader, he also can not detect the location of those he uses his telepathy with.
- Smite:Using this power will instantly knock Sariel out, leaving him vulnerable for a day and leaves him with no power for a week afterwards.
- Healing:The more power he uses to heal major injuries the more he is worn out. He can't heal other angels (fallen angels excluded) nor use that power on himself (though he does heal naturally faster on his own)
- Lightbringer:Because the sword is forged from his wings he cannot fly while the sword is drawn.
- Demonic Power/Energy
- Magic Designed to harm angels or holy beings
HISTORY
Not a lot is known about Sariel's past. Something strange happened to him when he came down to earth that made him lose his memories. He has no recollection about his life in heaven, he can remember his name, and what he is, but he doesn't know what his purpose had been. What kind of angel was he? What are his powers? And most importantly why is he here? He didn't fall from heaven, he was sent here for a purpose. He remains in New Orlands where he awoke in the hopes that maybe he will find some clue to his past life and the reason why he was sent to this area of the world.
